Daniel T. Van Voorhis

Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Van Voorhis is responsible for leading the overall growth and operating strategies of Continental Communities, including acquisition and capital markets activities. Prior to co-founding the Company, Mr. Van Voorhis founded Property Capital Investment Corporation to own and operate manufactured home communities for his own account. From 1992-1996, Mr. Van Voorhis was employed with Heller Financial, Inc., as Director of Commercial Real Estate Mortgage & Equity Finance. While at Heller, Mr. Van Voorhis originated and structured equity investments and debt financings for Heller’s on-book portfolio with an emphasis in manufactured housing, multi-family residential, multi-tenant industrial/warehouse and self- storage.

Mr. Van Voorhis, a Phi Beta Kappa Scholar, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management from Albion College (1983), an MBA degree in Marketing and Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management/Northwestern University (1988) and is a graduate of the Owner-President Management Program at Harvard Business School (2013).

Sherry Saxon
Senior Vice President – Operations & Sales

Sherry Saxon joined the Company in 2015 as an Operations Manager with more than 20 years in the manufactured housing industry, most recently as Vice President – Operations and Regional Manager – Sales & Operations. Sherry’s vast industry experience and reputation as a consensus-oriented team builder also includes value-oriented community initiatives and strategic planning.

Throughout her years at the Company, Sherry’s work expanded the company’s growth while achieving performance-based operational excellence, earning her a new role as Senior Vice President – Operations & Sales. In her new role, Sherry will continue to directly oversee a designated portfolio of 13 communities with more than 3,400 existing home sites and indirectly oversee 7 other communities with more than 1700 home sites. Sherry’s experience will also be utilized to implement larger capital and community improvement projects while adhering to Company policies and best practices.

Lesley Pizer
Vice President – Operations & Sales

Lesley Pizer joined the Company in 2020 as Vice President – Operations & Sales with an extensive background (20 + years) in the manufactured housing industry. Lesley has a proven track record of success as a Regional Operations & Sales Manager after developing her leadership, management, and sales skills with a well-respected and proven community owner/operator.

In her role with the Company, Lesley will directly oversee a designated region that includes 10 communities over 3,300 home sites. Lesley’s personal strengths include a creative mindset and the ability to garner consensus through team building to maximize operational & sales goals. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of assigned projects and programs along with the implementation of Company policies and best practices alongside other senior-level executives. Lesley currently attends Indiana University and is scheduled to receive her BA in the near future.
